This is a lesson for the Oakland Police Department

This is where I was living.

This is the place I was unlawfully evicted from on the night of Febuary 7th at 11:30 p.m.

The light brown door, second from the left, was my door. It was a room that had been used as storage, until my landlord made a business deal with me to help me start a business and to let me live there.

The dark brown door next to it on the right is the door that leads to the apartments above. That's important, because my ex-landlord lied to the police when he told them the building wasn't zoned for living and that he'd only agreed to let me use it as storage.

Site: 598 7th St.

Assessor Parcel: #001-0209-016-00

Owner: Ramos, Natividad.

ZONING: C-40*, S-4, S-17.

*C-40, Section 17.54.050 Permitted Activities.

A). RESIDENTIAL ACTIVITIES.
>Permanent.
>Semi-Transient
-also Residential Care occupying a One-Family Dwelling Residential Facility.

The police carry guns, they have the ability to take a life; they are paid to observe things at a scene and to know the laws they are charged with enforcing.

ONLY the Sheriff, Marshal or Constable is legally allowed to physically evict a tenant, and then only after the landlord has obtained a court order allowing the eviction to take place.

Evictions by ANYBODY ELSE (including cops!) are ILLEGAL.
Evictions are to take place during business hours, not the middle of the night.

The police officers that eveicted me were: K. Hall, R. Brown, J. England.
My landlord didn't want to face me in court because he was lying to everybody and he knew I would prove it.

I want people to understand how people take atvantage of homeless people, and how law enforcement won't protect the homeless.

Most homeless people are too beaten down to speak out.....I'm not.
I'm a fourth generation veteran, I didn't serve my country to be treated like a piece of dogshit, just because I have no money, no roof, and am dealing with mental health issues that I'm only now understanding.
Homeless people are being hunted, attacked and killed, but nobody will speak for them. I will change that.

This blog will at times get intense, but don't worry, you'll live; and maybe you'll learn something.
